Clausen is a physical
blocker who wants to move people off the line and stay engaged through the whistle. He has experience on both sides of the line of scrimmage, which should give him an edge in understanding pad level and contact balance. He projects as an offensive tackle at the next level, though he could eventually slide inside depending on how his body develops. As far as technique is concerned, Clausen will need to improve his pass-set consistency, lateral quickness, and staying clean with his hand placement against edge rushers.
