Chelsea booked a placed in the next round of the League Cup thanks to an entertaining 4-3 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers last night. And fortune would smile upon us a bit later as well, with the Blues
getting a favorable in the quarterfinals.
The Blues of London will be paying a visit to the Blue-birds of Cardiff, and though the match is away, Cardiff City are the only remaining non-Premier League side in the competition at this point. The League One side have a couple upsets under their belts already of course, knocking out Wrexham in this most recent round, after eliminating Burnley in the round prior.
This will be our first match against them since 2019, when they were last in the Premier League. Our very own Omari Kellyman, on loan for the season and growing in importance since returning from injury, could very well feature.
We’re down to the last eight! Three more wins needed.
The draw, in full, for the quarterfinals:
Arsenal vs. Crystal Palace
Cardiff City vs. CHELSEA
Manchester City vs. Brentford
Newcastle United vs. Fulham
