Good morning, baseball fans!
The San Francisco Giants get the day off today, before heading home to Oracle Park tomorrow to begin a new week of baseball, so let’s take a look at what’s on deck.
First up, the Giants welcome the Chicago Cubs to Oracle Park tomorrow for a three-game series. After that, the Baltimore Orioles come to town for a weekend series.
It’s a tough call this week. I know the Giants technically play every team, every year now. But I honestly cannot remember the last series they played
against the Orioles, who are one of those teams I have a tendency to forget about when I don’t see them for a long time. (That’s not a dig at them, I have ADHD so I forget that anything and anyone exist if I don’t see them regularly.) It also helps that they are currently sitting at the bottom of the AL East, which means the Giants might win a game.
But I think I have to pick the Cubs series this week. There are sooooo many Cubs fans in Northern California. Much like the Boston Red Sox and Atlanta Braves, there’s usually a pretty good turnout of Cubs fans at Oracle Park. So I think this should be a fun series for a good size amount of people, at least. Even if those people are not technically Giants fans.
Which series are you most interested in this week?
