
The Philadelphia Eagles were beating the Dallas Cowboys 24-20 with 4:44 left in the third quarter when the whistles blew and the teams and fans were told to seek shelter due to thunder storms in the area. It’s not the biggest storm cell, but the broadcast expects the storms clear by 11:15 PM ET ,and after 10 minutes for players to warm back up, the game will resume.
Storms have been around the area all night, and it’s actually surprising they were able to make it so far in the game before being impacted by them.
The Eagles have had to deal with their share of other kinds of storms on Thursday night, too — FB Ben VanSumeren ruled out with a knee injury, Jalen Carter being ejected, several fights, and what’s felt like 1,000 flags being thrown.
Let’s hope there are no further delays than what is expected, because the Eagles defense was finally playing well and it’s tough to recreate the energy following a turnover and this celebration:
