Sporting News | Matt Sullivan: The reports were that this was in the works for a while, but on Tuesday afternoon it became official that Amed Rosario would be back with the Yankees in 2026. The Yankees acquired
the utility man in a trade with the Nationals in July. He can play a number of positions, but the biggest reason the Yankees brought him back into the fold is his ability to hit left-handed pitchers, OPSing .819 against them in 2025. The final deal is for one year and $2.5 million.
New York Post | Greg Joyce: In case you haven’t checked a calendar of late, today is the last day of 2025. Tonight at midnight, we’ll ring in the new year and for the Yankees, that’ll bring some questions to their doorstep. While there’s still a lot of offseason left to go and a lot of player still available, the Yankees still have some very big question marks to answer before the 2026 season.
New York Daily News | Gary Phillips: The Yankees now have some Hall of Fame pedigree in their minor league system, with 2025 second round draft pick Kaeden Kent’s dad, Jeff, getting elected a couple weeks ago. Kaeden can no longer kid his dad about not being a Hall of Famer, like he used to, but the younger Kent’s trajectory to this point has been shaped by his dad’s career.
