The Young Bucks need cash, and Don Callis knows this. He is putting on the full-court press to recruit them into his family. Callis’ latest pitch is arranging another money match for the Bucks. This one is for a cool
one million dollars.
The Young Bucks had a chance to become #1 contenders for the tag titles in AEW on Dynamite, however, they were unable to win that bout. The consolation prize was Callis wooing them with an all expenses paid special entrance into that bout. It’s been so long since the Bucks had pyrotechnics for their entrance that the noise startled them.
Fast forward to Collision for a post-match scene backstage. Callis approached the Young Bucks with a proposition. He chatted with Tony Khan to negotiate a $1 million money match at the Full Gear PPV. So, what’s the catch? There’s always a catch with Callis. The unspoken understanding is for the Young Bucks to take out Kenny Omega. Callis arranged the trios match to be Young Bucks & Josh Alexander versus Jurassic Express & Omega. Purse to the winners. I’d like to point out that there was no mention of how large Callis’ cut will be on the earnings should they win.
This match plays into the slow burn of the Young Bucks with feelings for Omega. Despite the Jacksons’ wicked ways, it seems like that Elite trio will eventually reunite. The seeds have been planted in recent week, and the Bucks looked hesitant about Callis’ desire to destroy Omega.
