Cashius Howell is from Kansas City.
He grew up a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs.
He went to Rockhurst High School in Kansas City.
And he had his Draft party at home in Kansas City.
So naturally he wasn’t happy when the Chiefs passed him over for another pass rusher, R Mason Thomas, with the 40th pick in the second round.
Just one pick later, the Cincinnati Bengals would select Howell.
“They had took an edge rusher before me,” Howell said. “You know, it’s all good. I grew up a Kansas City Chiefs fan, but
at this point, I’m just thankful to be a Bengal. So we’re going to see them when we see them.”
To hammer home the point that his loyalty to the Chiefs is done, Howell then said, “I’m very happy to be a Bengal and wouldn’t want to be a Kansas City Chief at this point.”
And just like that, the Bengals get a new advantage against the Chiefs.
