The final score between the Chicago Bears and Carolina Panthers has never happened before in NFL history. When we see an unprecedented score in an NFL game, it’s called Scoigami. There haven’t been too may times where a team scored 59 points, so that’s a dead giveaway. The 59-37 final was the first time that has happened in NFL history.
Normally when we get a Scorigami, it’s because something weird happened in the game like going for 2 or missed extra points. This one wasn’t that. The Bears just laid
the smack down. We had a late extra point blocked, but 59-38 also has never happened.
During the 2025 season we saw four Scorigamis including one in Week 1:
- Bills beat Ravens 41-40
- Cowboys and Packers tie 40-40
- Texans beat Jaguars 36-29
- Bills beat Buccaneers 44-32
We can expect a few more Scorigamis in 2026, but the Bears and Panthers started the new year with a bang.
