In shocking and potentially terrible news, Bayern Munich phenom Lennart Karl suffered an injury at training with the German national team.
Head coach Julian Nagelsmann delivered the news and did not sound optimisitic about the situation.
“Lennart Karl suffered an injury in training today. It doesn’t look good. He went to the hospital and will have scans. We have to wait for the diagnosis and see if he can play at the World Cup or if we have to call up a replacement,” said Nagelsmann (as captured by

On a more positive note, Nagelsmann also said that Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is improving.
“Manuel Neuer is doing well. He’s on his way to full fitness. We decided not to take any risks tomorrow. He should be fully fit for the first group stage game,” Nagelsmann stated.
This is the same tactic used with Neuer as 2014 when he was dealing with a shoulder injury prior to the World Cup tournament.
