Week 1 of the NFL season provided plenty of entertaining matchups. From Aaron Rodgers’ return to New Jersey, an NFC South nail-biter between the Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and “Sunday Night Football” providing late-night fireworks, it was quite the way to kick off the year.
As we have done in past seasons, our staff will be making weekly predictions for every game on the NFL schedule. Each of the Pride of Detroit staff will pick the moneyline (winner of the game, no spread), but some
of the members will also pick against the spread and even the over/under lines—there’s an easy-to-use toggle button in the widget below to cycle through the settings and in the week’s ahead, check out our records when it comes to making picks. You can also check out all of the odds for this week’s games courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.
Thursday night’s game is a marquee matchup. Two NFC teams with title hopes are set to square off when the Washington Commanders and Green Bay Packers meet for 2025’s first edition of Amazon Prime football at 8:15 p.m. ET.
On Sunday, the NFL has 13 games scheduled, and the local Detroit audience will have just one local game available to watch in the early 1 p.m. slot—as if they’re going to want to watch anything else. The Chicago Bears and former offensive coordinator Ben Johnson travel to face the Detroit Lions on FOX. In the late window, a select area of Metro Detroit will get a chance to check out the Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts at 4:05 p.m. ET on CBS. Everyone and their mother, however, will get a nationally televised rematch of Super Bowl LIX, Philadelphia Eagles versus Kansas City Chiefs, on FOX at 4:25 p.m. ET.
ESPN is back at it again this year with a couple of early-season offerings on Monday night. First up will be an interconference matchup in Houston, TX between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Houston Texans—kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET on ABC/ESPN. To round out your evening of football viewing, the Los Angeles Chargers head to Sin City for an AFC West showdown with the Las Vegas Raiders—10:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.
Here is who our staff is picking on the moneyline, spread, and over/under for all 16 games on the NFL Week 2 schedule:
