Sunday night at Revolution, Timeless Toni Storm pulled out a victory over Marina Shafir. She lost the post-match battle, though. Shafir’s friend Ronda Rousey showed up and called the four-time AEW Women’s World champion out, and in the confusion that followed Storm’s return the ring, Shafir knocked her out with a cheap shot.
That set the stage of the announcement of a No Holds Barred rematch between Toni and Jon Moxley’s right-hand tonight (March 18) on Dynamite. But someone took steps to ensure that
match wouldn’t happen. We learned that via Renee Paquette’s report from backstage in Fresno, California’s Save Mart Center. Luther takes the intrepid reporter into The Timeless One’s dressing room, where Mina Shirakawa was emoting over her lover, who was unconscious and laying in a pool of blood.
Shirakawa switches to vengeance gear, and announces she’ll fight Shafir tonight… and end her.

It’s a pretty big bait and switch for a show that was only advertising a handful of matches in advance. We should know soon if it was due to Storm legitimately being too banged up from the PPV, or something planned for story purposes.
Online, it’s brought some speculation that Shafir and Rousey’s friend Shayna Baszler will make her AEW debut tonight, but last we heard she was happy doing her thing on the indies and coaching in NXT.
We’ll see what happens when the No Holds Barred match comes our way in a bit. You can get the results of that, and all the action from the Revolution fallout edition of Dynamite, in Claire’s live blog here.
