There was a new face and a new haircut in Barcelona training on Thursday as Gavi has returned to the group after vacation following Spain’s World Cup triumph.
Gavi promised to dye his hair pink if La Roja won it all in North America, and he was a man of his word as he showed up to training with the new look.
The 22-year-old was granted a three-week holiday along with his Spain teammates but decided to cut his vacation short given how little playing time
he had: Gavi started the opener against Cape Verde but was an unused substitute in six of the final seven games, playing just five minutes in his final appearance in the Round of 32 against Austria.
Gavi had a fantastic end to last season after returning from a long layoff following knee surgery, and after enjoying World Cup glory with his country he is ready for a strong and fully healthy season for Barça.
