What is the story about?
- It has been a challenging season for UW Men’s Basketball. They struggled through an extremely difficult schedule early in conference play and did not emerge on the other side fully intact. Still, Danny Sprinkle has the team playing hard late in the schedule in spite of NCAA Tournament hopes having evaporated. The Dawgs traveled cross-country to Rutgers on Tuesday and held off a game Scarlet Knights team for a conference win. Hannes Steinbach bounced back from a tough game against a Maryland team that swarmed him with one of his best performances of the year.
- Christian Caple’s On Montlake has moved to a new web host, but the content remains as good as ever. Caple posted some of his thoughts in a Montlake Musings piece, mainly focused on the offensive coaching staff. He examines whether Jedd Fisch will formally replace Jimmie Dougherty as the OC, what the role will be for new QB Coach JP Losman, and who else could join the staff.
- Blair Angulo tends to be one of the more plugged-in experts on West Coast recruiting, at least for the very top prospects in the region. As such, it’s usually a good sign when your team is getting mentions in one of his posts. Angulo has a report from The Opening in Los Angeles. The Dawgs get named as major players for a couple of the top players on the West Coast in his summary.
- Washington Baseball has had a horrific start to the season and things only got worse in the home opener Tuesday. The Huskies gave up a pair of TDs to visiting Seattle U in a 14-11 loss. Overall, Seattle U tallied 21 hits in the game.
