Earlier this week, we asked what expectations should be for the Michigan Wolverines Football moving forward, and now the results are in.
- 52% of fans believe yearly appearances in the College Football Playoff should be expected.
- 23% think 10+ wins should be the expectation.
- 16% fans are fine with 9+ win seasons.
- 9% voted for regularly reaching the Big Ten title game.
After going 12-2 in 2021, 13-1 in 2022, and 15-0 in 2023, they’ve
had some struggles the past two seasons. Michigan went 8-5 in 2024, Sherrone Moore’s first season as head coach, and is currently sitting at 9-3 this year with a bowl game to go.
Winning isn’t easy; even the Jim Harbaugh era had ebbs and flows, with Harbaugh winning 10+ games in six of his nine seasons as head coach. However, expectations grow all the more heightened once a team wins a national championship and has large amounts of NIL money pumped into the program. If Ohio State can make the playoff each year, Michigan should hold itself to the same standard and expectation.
