Near the end of last year, Bayern Munich announced the signing of 17-year-old defender Virgilio Olaya from SD Aucas in Ecuador. Not much has been heard from him since then, but it looks like he’s now one step closer to finally being a Bayern player:
Since it was reported last December that Bayern agreed deal to sign Virgilio Olaya, the Ecuadorian defender moved from SD Aucas to LAFC, and has now joined Wacker Innsbruck on loan – all clubs being part of the Red&Gold network. He’s now allowed to move to Europe after he turned 18. The move to Bayern has not been officially announced so far.
The Rekordmiester made use of its partner clubs through the Red&Gold network to finally bring the talented Ecuadorian closer to what will be his future home. The move took longer than expected but the Bavarians will be with one of their handpicked players soon.
