By the time GW4 kicks off, the first international break will be done—and it’s come at the right time, right after the transfer window closed. Teams will pretty much ride with the same squads until January.
While clubs work on fine-tuning their play, fantasy managers get a chance to tweak their own squads. It’s the perfect time to look at differentials—they could be the edge you need over your rivals.
We have now highlighted four low-owned FPL assets for gameweek four, with an ownership of nothing higher than five per cent.
Pope (£5.0m, Newcastle vs Wolves, TSB 5%)
Surprisingly, Nick Pope has been selected by only 5% of managers, despite his strong track record of collecting points. With Newcastle hosting Wolves this week, he represents a valuable option.
Following the conclusion of their transfer saga involving their top striker, Newcastle will look to reset and build stability in team chemistry starting from this gameweek.
Senesi (£4.6m, Bournemouth vs Brighton, TSB 5.1%)
Bournemouth lost key defenders like Hujisen, Zabarnyi, and Kerkez last summer, and most people thought they’d struggle. But with 6 points from their first 3 games, they’ve handled it well.
Senesi is already in the top 4 for points among defenders and has just 5.1% ownership—he looks like a solid long-term fantasy pick, much like some of Bournemouth’s reliable defenders from past seasons.
He is also steadily racking defensive contribution points, making him a top pick in his price range.
Lacroix (£5.0m, Crystal Palace vs Sunderland, TSB 2.3%)
Another underrated defender from Crystal Palace, Lacroix has registered 22 points in just three games, yet he is owned by only 2.3% of managers.
Palace’s back line has offered multiple reliable options, with Richards and Mitchell also standing out as low-owned candidates. In gameweek four, they face newly promoted Sunderland, a side far less threatening away from home than at their own ground.
Paqueta (£5.9m, West Ham vs Tottenham, TSB 2.2%)
West Ham United bounced back last gameweek with a three-goal victory after suffering two heavy defeats at the start of the season to Sunderland and Chelsea.
Paquetá has now scored in consecutive matches and will be eager to extend his run as West Ham welcomes Tottenham to the London Stadium.
At 5.9million, he stands as a good alternative for injured players like Ismaïla Sarr and Rayan Cherki.
