The legal tampering period has begun this off-season, and some key moves are already starting to shake out for the Cleveland Browns. One of the more disappointing moves made in early free agency was the Chicago Bears’ signing of linebacker Devin Bush
to a three-year deal. Bush has become a real success story for the Browns on defense, and the team almost certainly was interested in bringing him back in 2026.Join the conversation!

With Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah’s ongoing injury issues, Bush
really stepped up as a leader within the linebacker group. He will certainly be missed in that unit for 2026.
The team made a big offensive line signing to help fill one of the major holes left in this group. Chargers guard Zion Johnson has agreed to a three-year, $49.5 million deal. Although he is a left guard, he has experience in the NFL as a right guard and could take that position if Joel Bitonio returns to the team in 2026. He played 100% of offensive snaps for Los Angeles in 2025, other than in Week 18, so he will likely be a very reliable player in Cleveland. This is a welcome change for an offensive line that has battled injuries and inconsistency over the past few seasons.
There are still many moves to come, but the Browns’ decisions so far have been a mixed bag.
