Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently announced the upcoming UFC 331 event on Paramount+, locked and loaded for Sat., Sept. 19, 2026 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California. Headlining the “City of Angels” fight card will be the flyweight championship rematch pitting Joshua Van (c) against Alexandre Pantoja, a rematch from their UFC 323 title fight that ended in injury. In the UFC 331 co-main event, Arman Tsarukyan will continue his march back toward a second lightweight title shot
when he collides with Brazilian bruiser Mauricio Ruffy.
All four combatants will take the dais for the UFC 331 pre-fight press conference, streaming LIVE at 5 p.m. ET in the embedded video above.
“It was an extremely positive surprise the way Pantoja responded to the injury,” American Top Team strength and conditioning coach Everton Oliveira told Sherdog.com. “It was a serious one, but he didn’t have to undergo surgery. The following week, he was already doing physical therapy. Thanks to his dedication and commitment, his recovery was amazing. Let’s say that if the UFC had needed him to return in May, he would have been ready. Before the injury, during his last camp, he was already going through the best phase of his career. This time away from training only increased his motivation. I’m excited to see this Pantoja 2.0 turbo version, with a performance above his normal level. He’s more mature and at his physical and technical prime.”
