After about a week of rumors, it has become official — Bayern Munich has loaned Bryan Zaragoza to Espanyol for the 2026/27 season.
Bayern Munich announced the move with a brief statement on its club website:
FC Bayern are sending Bryan Zaragoza (24) out on loan to Espanyol until the end of the season. The Spanish attacking midfielder, who has been under contract at the club since the 2023/24 season, most recently enjoyed a spell on loan at Roma.
FC Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund: “Bryan has
gained a wealth of experience at his various clubs over the past two years and is now set to continue his development in La Liga, an environment he’s familiar with.”
Zaragoza arrived in Munich from Granada in the winter of 2024. After seven appearances for the first team, he initially went out on loan to Osasuna, then to Celta Vigo and finally to Italy to further his development.
The important part of the deal for the Bavarians is that the deal will reportedly include an obligation to buy clause, meaning that the Spaniard’s time in Bavaria is essentially over.
