The New York Jets secured the win, but it came at a cost.
The green and white lost rookie WR Omar Cooper Jr and team captain Minkah Fitzpatrick. Both injuries stink, but Fitzpatrick is by far the bigger loss.
Safety is one of the few critical positions on the Jets’ roster that they couldn’t afford an injury to, especially to Fitzpatrick.
He is going to miss a handful of weeks (likely two or three games). The Jets were able to figure it out in the moment in Week 1, but what about when the quarterback
play on the other side gets better? That is still very much to be determined.
For now, the Jets will have to rally around Dane Belton, Malachi Moore, and Andre Cisco *GULP*.
