Bayern Munich’s loanees throughout Europe had a busy week. A lot of them were involved in various cup competitions — including the four Bundesliga loanees’ teams who faced each other. However, in a change
of pace, Nübel was on the bench and Peretz made his debut for HSV. Asp had one great game with two assists and a goal in one of Grasshopper’s matches this week. On the Frauen side, Imade returned from International duty to help her team give Barcelona their first loss of the season. Lastly, this edition is a bit late, which means Palhinha and Tottenham have already played their Champions League match. The rest of the loanees in Europe will be on next week’s edition.
FC Bayern Munich
There are nine players from on loan from the first team.
Germany – Bundesliga

Nübel had the night off for Stuttgart’s DFB-Pokal match against Sieb’s Mainz 05. Stuttgart won 2-0 despite their number one keeper on the bench.
Nübel returned to the starting lineup in Leipzig on Saturday in league play. He was busy in goal, recording seven saves but unfortunately conceded three goals. Stuttgart had an own goal and Nübel had an error that led directly to a goal. Stuttgart only scored one goal and fell 3-1 on the road to Rasenballsport Leipzig.
Stuttgart returns home for two matches this week: Thursday against Feynoord in the Europa League and Sunday against Augsburg in league play.
Arijon Ibrahimović – 1. FC Heidenheim
Ibrahimović started and played the full 90 minutes for Heidenheim against HSV in the DFB-Pokal. He faced fellow loanee Peretz, but was unable to get a shot on goal against him. In fact, he only had one shot from way outside the box, that missed high and outside. He recorded one created chance, but only finished 68% of his passes. Ibrahimović helped his team on defense with five tackles, three clearances, and four recoveries — helping keep a shutout for most of the match, despite being down a man for the entire second half. Unfortunately Heidenheim conceded a late penalty and fell 1-0.
Ibrahimović started for Heidenheim and played the full 90 minutes again — this time at home against Frankfurt at home. In the 32nd minute of the match, Ibrahimovic assisted his teammate to open the score and put his team up 1-0 at halftime. The assist was one of three chances created for his teammates to shoot to go along with one shot on goal from outside the box. Despite his defensive efforts, Heidenheim conceded a second half goal and had to split the points at home.
Heidenheim travel to face Leverkusen on Saturday.
Daniel Peretz – Hamburger SV
Peretz made his debut for HSV when he started against Heidenheim in the DFB-Pokal. His first shift was pretty tame — he only saw one shot on goal late goal, which did not come until the 87th minute. With the shutout, Hamburg only needed one goal to move onto the next round of the Pokal.
Peretz returned to the bench for HSV’s league match against fellow promoted side Köln. He had to watch his team receive two red cards and lose 4-1 on the road.
Hamburg will host BVB Dortmund on Saturday.
Armindo Sieb – 1. FSV Mainz 05
Sieb started against Stuttgart in the DFB-Pokal and played 60 minutes. He had two shots — both off target — but was unable to create any chances for his teammates to shoot. Sieb’s teammates were also unable to test Nübel’s replacement 0nly forcing two saves in the shutout loss. Stuttgart scored an early goal and then finished the scoring after Sieb was subbed off.
Sieb started on the bench for Mainz’ league match on Saturday against Werder Bremen and came into the match in the 69th minute with his team up 1-0. He was unable to get a shot attempt off, nor could he create a chance for his teammates to shoot. He also only attempted five passes all night. Mainz conceded a late goal and settled for a 1-1 home draw.

Palhinha started for Tottenham on Wednesday in their EFL Cup match away to Newcastle. He played 90 minutes, but was unable to get a shot attempt off, nor could he create any chances for his teammates to shoot. He completed 55 passes — the most of anyone on either team — with a 93% completion rate. Spurs were unable to get a goal and fell 2-0 to Newcastle.
Spurs returned home for a league match against cross-town rivals Chelsea. Palhinha started again and, again, played the full 90 minutes. He was also unable to get a shot attempt nor create a chance for his teammates to shoot. The biggest difference was his low pass completion rate. He only completed 27 passes with a 75% completion rate. Spurs also failed to score in this match, falling 1-0 at home.
Tottenham hosted FC Kobenhavn in the Champions League on Tuesday. Palhinha was on the bench to begin the match and came onto the pitch in the 61st minute with his team up 2-0, shortly after Spurs forward, Johnson, received a red card. Just three minutes later he was credited with an assist on a goal that van de Ven took from on his own from box to box and slotted it past the keeper. Three minutes after that, Spurs looked to be the team with the man advantage when they got a three-on-one break that ended with a Palhinha goal to cap off the scoring. Spurs held on to win 4-0 at home.
Spurs host Manchester United on Saturday in Premier League play.
Jonah Kusi-Asare – Fulham
Kusi-Asare started on the bench in the EFL Cup against Wycombe Wanderers. He came into the match in the 74th minutes with the match level 1-1. He only had four touches before the match ended, completing the only pass he attempted. The match went directly to penalties and Kusi-Asare had a chance to win it for Fulham in the sixth round of penalties, but his shot low and to his right was saved. Luckily his goalie had another save in him and his teammate finished the match in the next round.
Kusi-Asare was not on the matchday squad for Fulham’s 3-0 home win in the Premier League on Saturday.
Fulham will travel to Liverpool to face Everton on Saturday.

Despite the away team getting another red in stoppage time, Grasshopper could not find a winner and split the points at home.

Germany – 2. Bundesliga
There are two players from the first team on loan to the 2. Bundesliga: Maurice Krattenmacher and Tarek Buchman.
Maurice Krattenmacher – Hertha BSC
Krattenmacher followed up his stoppage time winner from last weekend with a start in the DFB-Pokal against fellow 2. Bundesliga side Elversberg. He did not have a shot attempt, nor did he create a chance for his teammates shoot. He kept busy throughout the match with the most duals won (12) and the most fouls drawn (five). Krattenmacher subbed off in the 80th minute with his team up 2-0. Hertha scored a late penalty to secure a 3-0 win and move onto the next round.
Krattenmacher started again for Hertha in league play at home against Dynamo Dresden on Saturday. He had one shot — which was on goal following a header. He also completed all but three of his passes. He was subbed off in the 77th minute with Hertha up 2-0 against their East German opponents. They held onto that lead and won by that score line.
Hertha will travel to face Kaiserslautern on Saturday.
Tarek Buchman – 1. FC Nürnberg

SV Sandhausen will return home on Saturday for a league match against SGV Freiburg Fussball.
David Emmanuel – Hessen Kassel
Emmanuel was on the bench for Kassel’s 3-2 home win against SV Eintracht-Trier but did not make it into the match.

Switzerland – Super League
Johnathan Asp Jensen is the only player from the second league on loan to the Swiss Super League.
Johnathan Asp Jensen – Grasshopper
Asp was very busy in the 3-3 draw against Young Boys. He started and played the full 90 minutes. He had five shots — two saved, two missed, and one goal. He also created six chances for his teammates to shoot — two of which turned into assists. It is too bad that his teammates could not go with out conceding a last minute, which cancelled out his would-be winner. Despite the draw, he earned man of the match honors with his two assists and one goal.
Asp also started and played the full 90 minutes in Grasshopper’s humiliating 6-0 loss against Luzern. Like his teammates, his effort dropped off this match compared to midweek. He only had one shot — on goal — and created just two chances for his teammates to shoot.
Grasshopper will be away to Winterthur on Saturday.
Austria – Bundesliga
Maximilian Hennig is the only player on loan to the Austrian Bundesliga.
Maximillian Hennig – TSV Hartberg
Hennig started in Hartberg’s Austrian Cup match against BW Linz. There are not many stats available for this competition, but we know he played the full match and did not have a goal or an assist. The match ended 1-1 in regulation and 2-2 after extra time. Hennig did not attempt a penalty. Hartberg missed just won and Linz netted all five attempts to bounce Hartberg from the competition.
Hennig started for Hartberg in their return home and league play on Saturday. His team scored two early goals to give the defense a cushion. Hennig was the most fouled player on either team and also had the least amount of touches of anyone who played all 90 minutes. They allowed just one goal in the second half and held for a 2-1 win.
Hartberg will be on the road to Wolfsberger AC on Saturday.
Austria – 2. Liga
Mudaser Sadat is the only person on loan to Austria’s second league.
Mudaser Sadat – Amstetten
Sadat was on the bench for 90 minutes when Amstetten took on Bundesliga side Wolfsberger AC in the Austrian Cup. He came into the match during the break after regulation, before extra time. The match was level at 2-2, but Amstetten had just gone down a man due to two yellow cards in one minute — one for the foul, one for dissent. Sedat could not help his team find a goal but instead conceded a goal. The fell 3-2 and ended their Cup campaign.
Sadat was on the bench for Amstetten’s 3-2 road win in league play on Saturday.
FC Bayern Munich Frauen
There are two players on loan from the women’s team.
Spain – Primera División Femenina
Edna Imade is the only player on loan to Spain’s Primera División Femenina.
Edna Imade – Real Sociedad
Imade returned from international duty to start — and play the full 90 minutes — against Barcelona. She stepped up to the penalty spot in the 37th minute and buried the shot to open the scoring for the match. She also had one more shot that missed the target. Facing the mighty Barcelona, she needed to help her team on defense as well. She recorded four tackles, two blocked shots, four clearances, one interception, and one recovery. This was enough to help her team keep the shutout and beat Barcelona at home 1-0.
Sociedad will be back on the road against Espanyol on Sunday.
Brazil – Brasileirão Feminino
Ana Guzmán is the only player on loan to Brazil’s Brasileirão Feminino.
Ana Guzmán – SE Palmerias

Palmerias do not have any matches scheduled this week.
