Conferences returned to weekly injury reports for conference games for the 2025 season. We’re back with the report and updates for Week 12 against North Carolina State.
Miami Head Coach Mario Cristobal
gave injury updates during his standard Monday appearance on the Joe Rose Show (local Miami radio for those unaware). And here it is:
Unlike previous weeks, Cristobal wasn’t asked for any injury updates at his Monday presser, so we had to wait until Thursday evening for an update regarding player availability.
While those injuries are notable, they’re not the only ones. The initial report came out Thursday night at 8pm. Here’s the screenshot of the initial report:
The big news for Miami is star Nickel CB Keionte Scott being on the list. He left the Syracuse game with injury, and there have been rumors that he’d miss this week’s game ever since. A report from Matt Zenitz of On3 preceded the injury report release, and his report also brings into question Scott’s potential to return this season. Talk about a huge, HUGE blow to the team if true.
RB Mark Fletcher Jr. and CB O.J. Frederique will also miss this week’s game for the Canes. Starting DT David Blay Jr. is listed as questionable for this week’s game, which is troubling.
There is good news, however. Starting WR C.J. Daniels and DT Ahmad Moten Sr. are not listed on the injury report, and should both return to action this week. Miami’s passing game has operated fine in Daniels’ absence, but if Blay can’t play, getting Moten back is MASSIVE for the Canes.
On the other side of things, as per usual for a Miami opponent, NC State will likely get their starting RB and TE back after missing their previous game against Georgia Tech.
I’ll update this piece tomorrow with the Friday injury report and any updates it brings.
The Miami Hurricanes face the North Carolina State Wolfpack for Senior Day at Hard Rock Stadium at 3:30pm this Saturday. The game will be televised on ESPN.
