Nicolas Jackson has seen all of the “controversy” emerging surrounding his loan move from Chelsea to Bayern Munich, but do not expect him to engage in the Uli Hoeneß banter from this week.
In fact, Jackson will steer far clear of it.
“Obviously I know he (Hoeneß) is a big legend for this club. I have a lot of respect for him. I know him since before. My job is just to play and help the team win games. The number of games isn’t my focus. I want to achieve big things with the club,” Jackson said (as
captured by @iMiaSanMia). “There are always changes in football. Max and the coach really wanted me. As a player, you want to be where everyone wants you to be there. I’ve watched Bayern all my life. It was a dream to join this massive club. When they called me I was excited and ready to come and play for them.”
Jackson will do well with that philosophy and to also just keep his focus on the task at hand.
Bayern Munich is in a very interesting part of its season, which is sandwiched between two international breaks. What should we expect? Will Vincent Kompany be able to manage it effectively? There is a lot to discuss.
Let’s jump into it all! Here is what we have on tap for this episode of the Bavarian Podcast Works — Weekend Warm-up Show:
