The Cincinnati Bengals will get their first shot at an AFC North opponent on Sunday, when they travel to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers. Joe Burrow has managed to stay off of the injury report this week after being questionable in Week 2 with a back injury, but there are still some injury concerns heading in to Pittsburgh.
Defensive tackle Jonathan Allen (knee) missed his second practice in a row. When speaking to the media, head coach Zac Taylor called it “load management,” so they could just be
giving a veteran player a second day to rest. It is worth watching throughout the rest of the week, as Allen has been an important part of the Bengals’ defensive front so far.
Fellow defensive tackle B.J. Hill (achilles) also didn’t practice after missing Week 2. This is the second straight practice Hill has missed, so his status for Sunday is certainly up in the air.
Andrei Iosivas (thumb) was listed as a nonparticipant for the second day as well. Taylor has previously told the media that Iosivas will go on injured reserve, though the team has not officially made the move yet.
For Pittsburgh, cornerback Joey Porter Jr. (conditioning) was limited on Wednesday and Thursday. He and the team have been at odds over a contract extension, but it appears he could make his 2026 debut this week, barring any setbacks.
Wide receiver Michael Pittman (foot) was also limited and could be out for the AFC Clash. Friday will be an important day in assessing his foot injury and the team giving him an official game status.
Running back Jaylen Warren (shoulder) was limited for the second straight day as well.
Cornerback Jamel Dean (ankle) didn’t practice on Wednesday or Thursday either.
