The time has come. The 2025 season is upon us. We are past the time of watch lists and preseason awards and have entered the time of bowl projections. This week, the only change I made was to flip Utah State and New Mexico. The Lobos won yet another game, beating their in-state rival. Meanwhile, the Aggies had their toughest test of the season, and it revealed much of who they have been all season. They have a strong offense, but some holes in the defense. Otherwise, these six teams seem to be the front-runners in the bowl race.

I put Boise in the top spot this week. Through four games, they have looked like a more complete team than UNLV. I also have Hawaii and New Mexico playing in their home bowl game.

Boise moves to the conference winner. San Diego State enters the bowl picture. New Mexico is the upstart. Rams and Spartans drop out until they gain momentum.
