In 2022 Mark Vassett walked onto the field 52 times to punt the football, and amassed over 2,321 total yards on the season. Why is that significant? Well, the 44.63 yards per punt average just so happens to be the best single season putting average in the history of the program. Vassett also holds down the #8 spot overall (41.78yd/p) and his predecessor (Mason King) owns three of the Top 10 spots on that list as well.
