The Miami Dolphins took to the practice fields in Miami Gardens on Monday morning as they continue to work their way towards preseason action this Friday, but before they did, head coach Jeff Hafley met with the South Florida media. During his question and answer time, Hafley updated the injury statuses of multiple Dolphins players.
I would say Zane [Gonzalez – kicker] will be week-to-week. JuJu [Brents], I don’t think JuJu will practice this week, but I don’t think it’s going to be anything long
term. But if I wanted to play it cautious, I would say that JuJu will be out this week.”
Hafley continued:
“[Clelin Ferrell] will be [out] a few weeks. Yeah, he will not be practicing today. He’ll be a few weeks… For [Kevin] Coleman, I don’t expect him this week. [Ben] Sims [is] getting close. I don’t think he’ll practice this week… Dante [Trader], I don’t think will practice this week either. They’re getting close. Hopefully next week.”
On a young team trying to find their identity, having multiple veterans missing valuable practice time is not ideal, but on the bright side, it does give the younger players opportunities to show they belong on the squad ahead of team cuts at the end of this month.
We will continue to keep you updated on all things Miami Dolphins as the team inches closer to the 2026 season.
