Hoffenheim striker Fisnik Asllani
has shrugged off speculation about his future amid talk of interest from Barcelona. The Catalan giants are said to have been monitoring the attacker, while his agent has said there has been contact from Deco and Co.
Asllani scored his ninth Bundesliga goal of the season at the weekend and was quizzed on his future after the game.
“I can only influence what happens on the pitch. I just try to keep performing and help the team, whether it’s with goals, assists, or whatever.
Regardless of everything else, I give my all for the team,” he told Sport Bild.
“And honestly, what happens off the pitch doesn’t concern me. Everyone talks and talks. As I said, I can only influence what happens on the pitch.
“It was the same last season when I was still in Elversberg (on loan). Everyone was talking: ‘What’s next? Contract next season, this, that.’ I just said: ‘Leave me alone, let me play football, let me enjoy it.’ And that’s exactly how I’m approaching this season too.
“In the end, we’ll see what happens.”
Asllani has previously admitted that Barcelona are his dream club, but we’ll have to wait and see if the Catalans do make a move for him in the future.
