In his third season between the posts, No. 4 Maryland men’s soccer goalkeeper Laurin Mack has kept pace with the best netminders in the Big Ten. Mack recorded his 13th shutout in his time at Maryland in Saturday’s match against No. 9 High Point.
The junior’s six-save performance Saturday was a saving grace for the Terps, allowing the lone goal late in the second half to seal the deal. It also raises Mack on the Maryland all-time shutouts leaderboard,
where he currently sits in eighth place behind Chris Seitz.
With multiple injuries plaguing Maryland’s starting lineup, head coach Sasho Cirovski will likely continue to rely more and more on Mack as the season continues.
