The 2025 NFL Regular Season concluded this past Sunday Night with a thrilling 26-24 win for the Pittsburgh Steelers against the Baltimore Ravens for the AFC North Division at Acrisure Stadium in the Steel City. Now, the 2025-26 NFL Playoffs are next.
Fourteen teams have a chance to play for the immortal Vince Lombardi Trophy at Levi’s Stadium in the NFL’s 60th Super Bowl in Santa Clara, California. The first step is this weekend for the NFL Wild Card, with six games on the schedule, some of which
include former UCF Knights players. It’s time to see which Knights may be in action this weekend in the quest for a Super Bowl championship.
Kalia Davis
In his third season with the San Francisco 49ers, Davis delivered the best season of his career. Davis recorded 28 total tackles with 0.5 sacks while starting in all 17 games, but he is now dealing with knee tendinitis and is considered “day-to-day.”
If Davis is ready to play, he and the 49ers will face a tough test by matching up against the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. Game time for the 49ers-Eagles game is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. ET on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field.
Mac McWilliams
2025 was McWilliams’ rookie season in the NFL, and he spent it with the Eagles. However, he didn’t get much playing time as a rookie.
In five games, McWilliams recorded just 1 tackle and defended 1 pass. McWilliams played in four games combined in September and October before playing in the Eagles’ regular season finale in week 18 against the Washington Commanders.
It may be uncertain if the rookie cornerback will get playing time in the playoffs against a talented 49ers offense led by Christian McCaffrey and Brock Purdy this Sunday.
Tylan Grable
Grable is the first of three former Knights who could see the field this weekend for the Buffalo Bills.
Since 2024, Grable has been a backup offensive tackle for the Bills. This season, Grable played just one game, which was the Bills’ week 18 game against the New York Jets. Like McWilliams, who was named earlier with the Eagles, Grable getting playing time in the playoffs may be uncertain.
Gabe Davis
From 2020-2023, Davis spent the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Bills as a steady wide receiver. Then in 2024, Davis joined the Jacksonville Jaguars and had an awful season. In 2025, Davis returned to the Bills for a second stint. While Davis didn’t play the full 2025 season and battled injuries along the way, his week 18 game against the Jets was his best game of the season.
Davis caught the Bills’ second-to-last touchdown in Highmark Stadium history in the team’s dominating 35-8 win over the Jets. Davis finished the game with 5 receptions for 41 yards along with his touchdown. Davis’ touchdown marked his first since Oct. 13, 2024.
Now, Davis and the offense will face a tough Jaguars team on the road this Sunday at 1 p.m. ET at EverBank Stadium, in a Wild Card rematch from 2017. Davis could be a sneaky x-factor for the Bills to use in an attempt to get revenge on the Jaguars.
Matt Prater
The third former Knight and current Bill here is at the kicker position. In his 19th NFL season at 41 years old, Prater delivered one of his best seasons. Prater made 90 percent of his field goals (18/20) and 94 percent of his PATs (46/49) in 2025.
However, after the Bills’ week 15 game against the New England Patriots, Prater missed the team’s next two games because of a right quadriceps injury. Prater returned in week 18 against the Jets, but re-aggravated the pre-existing injury.
Prater was recently revealed as “day-to-day” by head coach Sean McDermott ahead of the Bills’ Wild Card game against the Jaguars. Prater’s injury is heavily talked about among the Bills, and the team will need someone to kick in pivotal moments during the NFL Playoffs if the veteran isn’t ready to play.
