Speculation about Bayley’s future has been a major topic in the wrestling world for months now, especially as her current contract with WWE is reportedly coming to an end soon.
This week, she offered a clue that she might be staying put with where is, at least for now.
The multi-time world champion hasn’t been seen on WWE television since being defeated by Lyra Valkyria on Saturday Night’s Main Event more than a month ago. Following that match, Lyra went so far as to boast that she ran Bayley out of
WWE.
Meanwhile, Mercedes Moné has added to the conversation by speaking about wrestling her close friend again someday, as well as posting a mock graphic on social media featuring an image promoting a hypothetical AEW match between herself and Davina Rose (the name Bayley wrestled under prior to WWE).
Bayley herself has also dropped a not-so-subtle tease about a possible jump to AEW. Earlier this month, she posted a video of herself training with Moné and other past and current fellow WWE talent. But the bigger tease was that the video was set to a song entitled “All In.”
But the video could’ve just been a red herring, or an early bargaining move for her next contract. Veteran wrestling journalist Dave Meltzerreported this week that it “would certainly seem like Bayley is not leaving WWE” given recent mentions of the star on Raw.
Bayley recently went even further with a new indication about what lies next for her. It started with yet another social media post, this time a celebration of her time in WWE.
“10 years of RAW, Smackdown, Wrestlemania, and everything in between. I’m so grateful to have lived out my dreams. And yet, a decade doesn’t seem like enough. I believe in women’s wrestling and will continue to fight for it. Thank you,” Bayley wrote in the caption of an Instagram post.
The post itself featuring a slideshow of highlights from her time in the company. Charlotte Flair was among those who posted in the comments, sharing emojis of a horse, an infinity symbol, and a heart. (The first emoji was seemingly meant to signify The Four Hoursewoman, a backstage NXT group featuring the two women along with Mercedes Moné and Becky Lynch.)
Another response came from Raw General Manager Adam Pearce, who posted a series of clapping-hands emojis in the comments.
Bayley responded to Scrap Daddy by writing: “hey let’s talk.”
“You know where to find me,” Pearce wrote back.
Could Bayley soon be finding Pearce live on Raw in the coming weeks? We’ll have to wait and see, but her even responding to him would suggest that we likely will see her again soon on WWE TV.
