A new gameweek is here, and it’s time for me to get into my FPL team selection. But before I reveal my Gameweek Three picks and transfers, let’s take a look at how I did in the previous round.
FPL Gameweek Two Review
While many struggled to get above the average score of 51, I managed to surpass that with an impressive 86 points.
Heading into Gameweek Two, I decided against making any transfers. After all, I had just picked my team, so I thought, why not trust my gut—despite a low return of 57 points in Matchweek One.
That
patience paid off, as my initial picks delivered from my goalkeeper all the way to at least one of my three forwards. I had Pickford in goal, and his clean sheet alongside a penalty save was enough for a massive 15-point double-digit haul.
I needed Arsenal cover, and in Gameweek One I went for Timber. He didn’t start then, but he more than rewarded that choice in Gameweek Two with an outstanding 24 points return.
Ndiaye of Everton was another standout for me, with the midfielder grabbing a goal and returning eight points. Gakpo and Kerkez serve as my Liverpool cover. I’ve opted against Salah so far, and while Gakpo has been delivering, Kerkez has been subpar.
Up top, I had two blanks. Erling Haaland, my premium pick for the season, failed to find the net and, as my captain, that one was tough to swallow. Bowen? Well, West Ham have been poor—nothing more to add there.
But Joao Pedro came good, with the new Chelsea man returning a massive 15 points to push me toward the 80-point mark.

Of course, looking at my team, it’s clear where I need to improve. For one, West Ham players aren’t helping at the moment, so that’s my focus for Gameweek Three.
GW 3 Preview
I currently have two free transfers, which I’ve already used to move on from Wan-Bissaka and Jarrod Bowen. In their place, I’ve brought in Newcastle United’s Livramento and Forest’s Chris Wood.
Here is my gameweek three team:

This is how it stands for now. I’m still undecided on my captain for the third gameweek. Van de Ven could come in for Palmer if he’s ruled out, and then it’ll be all set.
