The Jets were unable to build on the momentum of their Week 5 win over the Browns as they fell to New England last Sunday in their AFC East opener.
With the loss, fan confidence in the team fell accordingly. A week ago, 57 percent of Jets fans expressed confidence in the team in our SB Nation Reacts survey. After such a disappointing performance, it should be no surprise to see a large drop.
The last time the Jets lost a game before New England, fan confidence fell from 71 percent to 18 percent in
the span of a week. This drop isn’t so drastic, but I can understand why fans would feel worse about team after such a poor game.
If the Jets beat Miami, this season will be back on track. Fans will start to feel confidence heading into next week’s game with the Raiders. A loss, on the other hand, will likely put us into single digits.
We will see which of the two it is in a couple of hours.
