What is the story about?
It’s been a relatively quiet week for Indiana’s teams with men’s and women’s basketball both on something of a break before getting back to it for the weekend.
Teri Moren’s Hoosiers fell to USC last night without star guard Shay Ciezki able to play with a rolled ankle during shootaround, Darian DeVries’ team is getting ready for a trip to Champaign to take on an Illinois team with Final Four potential coming off of two consecutive losses and the Indiana defensive coordinator Bryant Haine won the Broyles
Award last night.
Here’s what to know about Indiana today.
In-state recruiting in 2027
- Five-star wide receiver Monshun Sales names four finalists, includes Indiana. Sales would be the first 5-star to join the Hoosiers in program history should he commit.
- Indiana men’s basketball has a need at center with both Sam Alexis and Reed Bailey set to exhaust their eligibility following 2025-26. There’ll be a need in the portal and potential development from underclassmen Andrej Acimovic and Josh Harris, but the staff will almost certainly prioritize a high school center in 2027 after landing three backcourt pieces in 2026. Isaiah Hill of Pike High School in Indianapolis holds an Indiana offer and has soared in recruiting rankings since receiving said offer. The class of 2027 is loaded in the Hoosier state.
