What is the story about?
One day after announcing a two-game suspension for L.A. Rams left tackle Alaric Jackson
, the NFL has reduced his punishment down to one game. Jackson will not be able to play for the Rams against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6, but will be able to return to face the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 7. Jackson was suspended for throwing a jab at Buffalo Bills defensive lineman Gregory Rosseau after Monday’s loss. The Rams list David Quessenberry as Jackson’s backup at left tackle, making it likely that the 36-year-old will be out there protecting Matthew Stafford’s blindside against Josh Sweat and the Cardinals.
Jackson has actually been quite lucky this year with regards to suspensions.
It appeared all but certain that Jackson would face a second career suspension after an arrest for domestic violence in the offseason. As of today, the NFL has not formally addressed any potential for Jackson on that front. Now he’s had this suspension reduced.
Can he stay out of trouble in the future?
