Anytime a high profile wrestlers leaves WWE, the first thought most fans are going to have is whether or not said high profile star could end up in AEW. In the case of Sheamus, who we learned was leaving WWE just 10 days ago, there are connections he has with some in AEW that would seem to make him a natural fit.
The major connection is Claudio Castagnoli, who wrestled as Cesaro in WWE and was both in a tag team with Sheamus as The Bar and remains one of his close friends. Naturally, then, he would
be asked about Sheamus making the jump in a recent interview with the Daily Star. His response was to leave it up to his friend to talk about:
“I feel that’s not for me to talk about. I feel that is for him to talk about when he’s ready for it. I’ve stayed friends with him throughout. Of course, I would like to see my friends on a more regular basis, of course. But I do feel that is his to answer when he’s ready for it.”
Sheamus hasn’t said much since the news broke, outside of a heartbroken goodbye, reminding folks of his name, and showing off that he still looks to be in great shape. The AEW roster is already a bit bloated right now but surely there’s space for The Bar to reunite.
Right?!?
