Allegiant Stadium, the home of the Las Vegas Raiders, was selected last week to host its second Super Bowl since opening in 2020 and for the second time since 2024.
NFL owners voted that Las Vegas will host Super Bowl LXIII in February, 2029. While the NFL doesn’t have an official Super Bowl site rotation, it is clear, Las Vegas will be regular hosts for the league’s showcase event of the year.
When Allegiant Stadium last hosted the Super Bowl, when the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers
in February, 2024, the Raiders went 8-9 in that season.
The Raiders, of course, won a total of seven games in two seasons since.
However, there is some hope with the addition of new head coach Klint Kubiak, the expected drafting of quarterback Fernando Mendoza and a strong free-agent class.
Thus, there is hope the rebuild could be fast. And the truth is, in today’s NFL, three seasons is considered a reasonable time for a turnaround.
So, with that in mind, do thinks realistic to think the Raiders could play in the Allegiant Stadium Super Bowl to conclude the 2028 season?
