Welcome to the Morning Commute
Today we’re talking about Mizzou Women’s Golf!
The college sports calendar for 2025-2026 is starting to wind down with the month of May right around the corner (which means our Rock M’mys will be here before you know it). The regular season comes to a close this weekend for Mizzou Softball as they look to get into the NCAA Tournament.
On Wednesday, it was announced that Mizzou Women’s Golf is headed to the NCAA Tournament. The Tigers were selected as the No. 5 seed in the Stanford Regional which will
take place May 11-13.
It’s the program’s first NCAA Regional appearance since 2018.
The Tigers are coming off a 9th place finish at the SEC Championships — their best performance since 2019. Good luck to the ladies in California!

To feel comfortable going into the SEC Tournament, Mizzou will need to go 2-1 against the Lady Vols. That will make it to where the Tigers don’t need a win in the conference tourney. If they go 1-2, they’ll need at least one win in the SEC Tournament. That being said, the tournament is formatted similarly to other sports, so the first round probably won’t be a top notch opponent.
It’ll be tough, but Mizzou Softball has the opportunity earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
In the final version of the Spring Vibe Check ™ this off-season, we finish of the Mizzou schedule with a trio of opponents who all share one thing in common: supremely positive vibes. Even if these three programs are in different places in terms of building, rebuilding and competing for championships, they all have reasons for optimism, if not confidence, in the state of their programs moving forward. There’s a reason a nine-game SEC schedule is a bear… and this finishing stretch for the Tigers is exhibit A.
Nathan weighs in on Mizzou opponents Georgia, Kentucky, and Oklahoma.
