Seems like a good time to open the mailbag again. As usual, I don’t claim to have all the answers. I do, however, have lots of opinions.
For my part, I think I’ve finally reached my saturation point with the Jaylen trade. Still don’t like it, don’t think it was great value, but I understand (in theory) why they did it. I’m moving on with the team that we have (what other choice do we have?). That’s no disrespect to Jaylen, who deserves the praise and admiration he’s been given. He will be missed and I wish
him the best (except against the Celtics).
My trust in Brad Stevens has been severely tested. He’s explained himself the best he can in the public eye. He’s taken an enormous risk with this offseason (it is a testament to his position that he was even allowed to take such a risk). We’ll see if it pays off eventually.
I’ve also largely ignored the other moves that the team has made as they’ve been largely overshadowed. But it will be very interesting to see the impact that Mitchell Robinson, Mike Conley, and the rookies will have on this roster.
