Happy Friday, TSFers! Remember the Premier League? Remember Arsenal Football Club? I’d forgive you if things were a bit hazy. The three week international break has been roundly criticized for being too long. The critics are right. I know not everybody shares my comparative valuation of club versus international football. For me, it almost feels as if the season is starting anew.
In a way, we are entering a new era of the Premier League — the post-115 verdict era. As I said earlier this week, I hope
that the Anfield crowd are merciless. I hope that treatment continues for the rest of the Premier League season and for the rest of time. Cheats! Cheats! Cheats! Same old City, always cheating!
Arsenal resume their campaign tomorrow when Leeds United visit the Emirates. The Gunners will play roughly every three days — every midweek — from now until the November international break. It’ll be nice to get back into the swing of the season after the extended break, but as always, you worry about player health. The injury news coming out of Mikel Arteta’s press conference was a mixed bag — more on that later today.
Right, that’s all for CF today. How did y’all spend the international break?! I hope that it went as well for you as it did for Mikel Arteta, so whatever your equivalent of signing a massive, lucrative contract extension.
