I hoped that giving myself a day, going outside and touching some grass, things of that nature, might help me process what happened yesterday, but a debacle that unprecedented, it turns out, is impossible to shake, much less comprehend. So I got nothing. That was the most singularly stupid thing I have seen in 20+ years watching NC State football.
You think after a while that you’ve seen enough, that there isn’t anything that your team can do to you to go and ruin an entire day. You’ve seen all sorts
of bad things in a variety of circumstances, and anyway, the more you go through life, the less sports affect your day. But boy was I wrong!
