Marcus Rashford is starting to make an impact at Barcelona after bagging two goals and two assists in his last three outings for Hansi Flick’s side.
Perhaps inevitably, his improved form has led to speculation
that he could make his move to Barcelona permanent at the end of the season.
Rashford is currently on a season-long loan but the deal does include a purchase option if the Catalan giants decide they want to keep hold of the England international.
According to the Daily Star, Barcelona are hoping to land Rashford in a permanent transfer worth around £26 million.
Manchester United would much rather receive closer to £35m for Rashford, but Barcelona know they are desperate to offload the forward and are hoping that could help them seal a cut-price transfer.
Rashford will still have to maintain his good form if he is to stay on at Barcelona, and he may also have to agree to take a pay-cut on his huge Manchester United wages if he wants to sign for the Catalans permanently.
