Jonathan Tah is wasting no time turning the page.
After returning to Bayern Munich following Germany’s disappointing World Cup campaign, the defender made it clear that his focus is already on the season ahead and helping his new club build momentum.
Following Bayern Munich’s 15-0 win over Rottach-Egern, Tah was pleased with both the result and the atmosphere within the squad.
“It was good to keep a clean sheet. I’m really happy to be back here, and I immediately felt that the energy is great. It’s
simply a lot of fun. I’m eager to get going, and I have the feeling that all the guys feel the same way,” Tah said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Tah also addressed Germany’s World Cup exit, explaining that while the disappointment was significant, there is little value in dwelling on it.
“The World Cup is in the past. I analyze things, then try to put them behind me quickly and process them rationally. That’s why I’m looking forward to the new season. It’s about working hard every day, preparing well in every training session, and winning every game. The most important thing is to stay focused on the here and now,” Tah remarked.
It is exactly the mentality Bayern Munich will want from one of its newest leaders. Rather than carrying the weight of international disappointment into the club season, Tah is embracing a fresh start. His focus on daily improvement, preparation, and maintaining the right mentality aligns perfectly with Bayern Munich’s expectations as the club begins another campaign with ambitions of competing for every trophy available.
