Portland Trail Blazers All-Star forward Deni Avdija is doubtful to play against the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday morning due to lower back injury management, while starting center Donovan Clingan is questionable to play as he continues to deal with an illness, the organization announced on Friday.
Avdija has missed Portland’s last two games due to the back issue, and he played just one minute in Portland’s 92-77 win over the Phoenix Suns on Sunday before he reaggravated his back and had to exit the game.
Clingan missed Portland’s last game due to the illness.
Elsewhere on the injury report, Caleb Love will be out while he’s on a G League assignment with the Rip City Remix. Guards Shaedon Sharpe and Damian Lillard also remain out.
Blazers rookie center Yang Hansen doesn’t appear on the injury report anywhere, so he should be available. He was questionable to play in Portland’s 121-112 win against the Chicago Bulls on Thursday due to mid-back soreness, before ultimately being ruled available.
