Karim Adeyemi was on target again for Barcelona on Sunday against Levante but, unlike in midweek, opted not to pull out his infamous backflip celebration.
The summer signing was asked why after the match and says he doesn’t always feel like somersaulting after a goal.
“I only do it when I feel like it. Not today. The celebration was for my children,” he added.
“I’m very happy to have been able to help the team. It was a bit late, but we have the three points. It was a very difficult match, on a tough
pitch, against a very aggressive team. In the end, we deserved to win.”
Adeyemi now has three goals in six appearances for his new club and says he does have a goal target in mind for this season.
“I have a goal target in mind, but I’m keeping it to myself,” he explained.
“I work hard to get playing time and I’m happy when I get it. The most important thing is to win.”
Adeyemi is pushing Anthony Gordon hard for a starting spot and will be hoping to get the nod in midweek against Racing.
