What is the story about?
Went to see The Odyssey on opening night, and it was great.
Went to see it again yesterday, and it was even better!
Both times in 15/70mm IMAX, as it should be.
It may not be Nolan’s best (Interstellar, still), but as a certified fanboy, I rate it among his greatest. If you know Nolan’s films really well, you will detect echoes of previous works: scenes, themes, even certain shots. That was distracting me a bit the first time I saw it. The second time, it didn’t bother me.
It’s great. Go see it. The
trailer(s) don’t do it justice. It distills, extends, adds context, and imbues the classic, legendary tale with meaning. And it’s absolutely epic in every sense of the word when it comes to movies.
