When the Cleveland Browns signed TE Jack Stoll in the early parts of free agency, it seemed like they were moving on from TE Blake Whiteheart, who has been a reserve for the past couple of years. On Monday, though, the Browns announced that they have re-signed Whiteheart.
Whiteheart was a restricted free agent heading into the new league year, but it was pretty obvious that the team was not going to tender him. As an unrestricted free agent now, he comes back to Cleveland, likely on a minimum-salary
deal.
