We made it, Bills Mafia! The Buffalo Bills’ are finally back in action, ready to begin a season-long quest toward a Super Bowl glory. Yes, it’s too soon to talk about the final game of the 2026 NFL season, but here we are. When it comes to the Bills, little else matters besides the Super Bowl.
Is this finally the season where quarterback Josh Allen rises above all others? We’ll find out in the coming months. It all begins today with what might be viewed as Buffalo’s toughest opponent. The Bills are
in Texas to take on the Houston Texans. Allen has never won a game in their stadium, and you know it eats at him. As a franchise, Buffalo hasn’t won in Houston since the 2006 season, with six consecutive losses to the Texans in their cozy stadium.
How will Joe Brady fare in his first game as an NFL head coach? Similarly, how will first-time NFL defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard and his system do against quarterback C.J. Stroud and the Texans’ offense.
Despite the team’s historic struggles in Houston, opportunities to win have almost always been available. Allen, Brady, Leonhard, and company just have to avoid making the type of mistakes that doomed Sean McDermott’s teams.
