At the start of his postgame press conference, Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson addressed the three players who exited their 31 to 7 loss to the Green Bay Packers with injuries, linebacker TJ Edwards (hamstring), cornerback Tyrique Stevenson (hamstring), and defensive lineman Dayo Odeyingbo (quad), by saying they’ll know more about them tomorrow.
All three left the game and were initially listed as questionable to return, but Edwards’ status was changed to out, and Stevenson’s and Odeyingbo’s
were changed to doubtful to return.
Johnson was also asked if starting quarterback Caleb Williams is close to returning for next week’s game against the Atlanta Falcons.
“He’s on track,” Johnson said. “We’ll see if that’s Atlanta or after. I think it’s going to be close.”
Tyson Bagent and Case Keenum were a combined 23 of 40 for 195 yards, with 3 interceptions and a passer rating of 39.1. They were also sacked 4 times.
Williams has been sidelined since September 20 with a grade 2 hamstring strain, and he returned to practice for the first time on Friday, October 9, and was limited. He also worked out at Lambeau Field this morning before the game, and some video of it was shared on social media.
