The Pittsburgh Steelers are signing wide receiver Jakobie Keeney-James to a one-year contract, the team announced on Tuesday. Keene-James appeared in one game for the Green Bay Packers in 2025, catching two passes for 15 yards.
As a member of UMass in 2024, Keeney-James caught 50 passes for 839 yards and six touchdowns. He went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft and was signed to the Packers’ practice squad in September, 2025.

on. DK Metcalf, Michael Pittman, Germie Bernard, and Ben Skowronek have roster spots written in pen. Roman Wilson has been impressive through the first week of training camp, running with the first-team offense and racking up catches, so it would appear his roster spot is also pretty secure. Rookie Kaden Wetjen will all but certainly be the team’s return specialist after being selected in the fourth round as College Football’s first and only two-time Jet Award winner as the Nation’s top returner.
